HBO Max’s The Batman spin-off series, starring Colin Farrell, will explore the character of The Penguin in depth, and the actress is reportedly in the works to play the Batman villain’s ailing mother.
As the actor revealed days ago, this new series from the DC Universe is going to have a great script. This is reinforced by the information that the series derived from the universe of The Batman, by filmmaker Matt Reeves, will delve into the tragic story of the villain of the best detective in the DC Universe.
According to the North American media The Illuminerdi, Oswald Cobblepot would be looking for the role of Francis Cobblepot, also known as the mother of The Penguin, who will play an important role throughout the series. Francis and Oz appear to have an intense and possessive relationship. But, throughout the eight-episode series, Francis reportedly suffers from Lewy dementia, a type of progressive dementia that causes a person’s independent thinking, reasoning, and functioning to progressively deteriorate.
These rumors remain unconfirmed by HBO Max and Warner Bros. Discovery at the time of this writing. So we always say that you have to take these rumors with caution.
Although little information is known about the plot of the spin-off of The Penguin, it has recently been revealed that the series will serve as a bridge between the film of ‘The Batman’ of 2021 and its upcoming sequel.
